Mas d En Gil Coma Alta 2016 2016 Online

Description
Coma Alta is Coma Blanca s little brother, but from a different father. It used to be Viognier who played a dominant role, but since millésime 2012, a thorough change has been made and the wine consists of 100% Garnatxa blanca. The wine is slightly fresher and more accessible than the Coma Blanca but so wonderfully balanced. Coma stands for a valley and Alta points out that it is higher. The grapes are harvested in two batches, the first for freshness, and the second for more ripeness. 30% of the garnacha grapes are aged for 6 months in French oak barrels of 500 liters, sur lies and the rest in stainless steel.
This white priorat has a bouquet of spices, flowers and ripe stone fruit (peach) lined by French oak. Full-bodied, filling and balance, with the southern jacket of white Grenache. A sturdy lad that serves best as a meal wine. Combines well with hard cheeses and white meat. Only 3,868 bottles of this beautiful white Priorat have been filled and all bottles are numbered
