Description
Margherita Otto in Barolo was founded by an American, Alan Manley. Like many of us, Alan grew up in Westchester; unlike many of us, he’s dedicated his life to producing world-class Barolo using the old-school methods. Shortly after moving to Piedmont on a whim he was offered a job helping out Maria Teresa Mascarello in the cellar of Bartolo Mascarello winery– that’s the wine equivalent of having Da Vinci teach you to draw, or learning how to shoot threes from JJ Redick.
Taste like roasted cherries, fennel seed, and roses.
